The Story
I took this recipe with me as a ‘SOUVENIR’ after visiting a strong, warm, and amusing LADY. Although she had lived in The Netherlands for quite some time, when I entered her typical Dutch house in a typical Dutch village, I FELT, SMELLED AND TASTED the love for her homeland IRAN. This recipe includes SAFFRON which is known for its unique flavor and potential HEALTH benefits. I named the tea after THE LOVE of her life, HER curly son…
What do you need?
- ½ tsp Cardamom
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- ½ tsp Clove
- +/- 3 Saffron threads (make sure to use high quality saffron)
- Boiled water
The Steps
Step 1. Bring the water to boil.
Step 2. Place all the the ingredients in a teapot.
Step 3. Pour the boiling water in the teapot.
Step 4. Let it steep for about 5 – 10 minutes. The water will turn in to a golden-yellow color due to the saffron.
