WHAT do I like most about WEDDINGS? If you asked me this question a couple of years ago I would have answered; the moment the groom sees his bride for the FIRST time in her WEDDING GOWN. Or, perhaps I would have said I love the moment the guests from both sides BLEND on the dance floor. And I just ADORE the momentum a father gives away his LITTLE girl.

But NOW I am OBSESSING about a newest TREND; hidden messages of the bride in her wedding attire. For all the WORD SUCKERS like me I made a top five of my favorite messages…

Priyanka Chopra: Eight Words

Priyanka chose EIGHT words/phrases to be embroidered in her RALPH LAUREN wedding gown: “Family”, “Hope”, “Compassion”, “Love”, “Om Namaha Shivay,” a HINDU mantra, ”December 1, 2018,” the DATE of the ceremony and the full name of her partner “Nicholas Jerry Jonas” and the names of both her parents. Every word was placed in DIFFERENT parts of the dress, with the word “Love” stitched over HER HEART.

Angelina Jolie, made sure that her SIX children were part of the creating process of her gown. Her gown was COVERED by her children’s drawings which were SEWED on Jolie’s dress and veil. She HONORED her children in the most AMAZING way.

Miss Markle wore a VEIL that was embroidered with the NATIONAL FLOWER of the 53 countries of the Commonwealth. The veil also included the California poppy representing the bride’s BIRTHPLACE and Wintersweet symbolizing the couple’s HOME in Kensington Palace.

Rajwa Al Saif: Royal Love

Rajwa Al-Saif married the crown-prince of JORDAN. During her HENNA NIGHT she wore a dress designed by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi. The dress was embroidered with SEVEN Jordanian stars which is a symbol of Jordan’s FLAG. The veil also features PALM TREES as a reference to Saudi Arabia, the bride’s HOMELAND. But the icing on the cake is that the words of a Tunisian poet are embroidered in her veil “I see you, and life becomes more beautiful.”
